Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

I only followed SM through the 80's - uberwaltz.
Those are classic albums.
Happy Listening!
Oscar Peterson, Bags and Ray Brown - The Very Tall Band Live at the Bluenote & Ginger Baker -  Why?

So so good!

Cheers
Nina Simone - Pastel Blues (MQA) OMG it’s like Nina is performing just for me!

Cheers
Electric Ladyland CD. The one with the little Experience Hendrix logo, issued by the Hendrix family and remastered by Eddie Kramer. Don’t ever go against the family. Kra-mer!
Time travellers and Bonfires..... Sevendust.

Via Tidal through my Vault via 50ft toslink to my second system. Still sounds amazing.
Eurovision song contest never knew what hit it when ABBA came in with Waterloo!
I even admit to going to see the ABBA movie........
Well I DO listen to ABBA, and unapologetically! Fantastic Pop music, with excellently crafted chord progressions, melodies, and harmonies. Frida made some great solo albums, and does a killer version of Jackie DeShannon's classic "When You Walk In The Room". As good as Pop gets.
Ok j/k, I don't listen to ABBA. But funny thing is I admit that they do make me feel good when I hear them on the radio. Can't figure out why but they just do.

I am listening to Kate Reid's album "The Love I'm In". Beautiful Jazz vocal artist very much in the Diana Krall style but so much better.
Possibly one of my best vinyl recordings, an excellent Dutch pressing.

Real to Reel... Marillion.
Still nobody quite like Fish........
Haywood Henry - The Gentle Monster
Cootie Williams - In Hi-Fi

Awesome analogue recordings which put many current digital productions to shame. Jump out of the seat real. These guys make trumpets talk like sad cats.

The long road to eternity..... Magnum.

Still one of my fave British classic rock bands. Bob Cately could really sing in the day, can't quite hit the notes nowadays but still a mighty fine vocalist.
Today it's Ella Fitzgerald - Mack the Knife in Berlin and Miles Davis & Gil Evans Porgy and Bess
The unforgettable fire..... U2.

Off all week so chance to run through my vinyl this week
I just had to post this...

 Steppenwolf  "Renegade".

I t sounded sooo good I had to share it. One never knows what is waiting for them?
Miles Davis - Flamenco Sketches awe man this sounds so good coming through my Maggie’s. Coltrane, Cannonball and Miles are playing in my listening room just for me. The tenor of Cannonball saxophone is breathe taking. Kind of Blue the Standard for Jazz music today, tomorrow and forever.

Cheers
..just one song...

Chicago "Poem 58"...now that's what I’m talking about!
Yes! I own the original lp pressing. I have heard the 20th? anniversary pressing in another system...big fail!

It is a wonderful recording if you can find the OP.
