I use wood blocks under most of the components. So far my favorite is poplar; a exotic wood that does not absorb water; sonically it is exceptional.

Well i will tell you about my SAKE SOAKED CONES from my JVC speaker system. The 4" woofer made out of wood is SOLID in the bass and the tweeters are SMOOTH and they are VERY RARE. you need to come with a real amp to make them sing, i have two sets one set can be biamped , I put my tubes on the tweeters and my Nelson Pass on the woofers, and take a SIP of my SAKE and the world is mine!!!!
