World Cup is Coming...Need help with DVD recorders

Newbiee to digital recording, I need info on DVD recorders, best media types(DVD-R's, etc..) and features. Any thoughts appreciated. I do not have cable or a satelite dish. Just regular antenna.

I have Panasonic with a 120 gig hard drive which seems to work very well. It uses DVD-R & DVD-RAM for hard disc. I've owned it for over a year and it has been trouble free and somewhat easy to use.
