I am considering of getting a used RM9 for my Merlin-TSM, can any user of the amp comments.

I am very interested to see how it compares with my CAT JL2 - it owuld be nice to go from 16 output tube to 8; if the sound is of comparable performance.

I've settled on NOS Amperex orange globe (Holland) a-frame 6dj8. Very smooth but still detailed.
