Like I said in 2003, the BEST to drink while listen to any genre of music is Chinese liquor. They are not for weak minded, or "stomched", as most of them are over 100 proof(50% of alcohole by volume), but thwy are the best. Almost NONE existent hang over, unlike most Whisky or Cognec/XO. Pure as Votkha yet better, while subtle, in taste. Very delicate.

Most Chinese Grocery stores carry them. Belowe is a list of a few good ones:

(1) Red Star Er-Guo-Tu Ju, 112 proof. Green glass bottle with red label.
(2) LuoZhou LaoJiao TeQu, 104 proof. Clear glass bottle with gold label.
(3) Wu Liang Ye, 106 proof(?). Clear glass bottle with red label.

You wouldn't drink anything else once having tasted them. Yeah........

....
In the hot Florida summer which is now upon us I found this beverage to be most refreshing & nutritious while listening:

-2 Shots Brugal Anejo Rum in a tall glass.
-ice cubes 3/4 way to top of glass.
-fill glass just shy of full with purified seltzer water.
-splash of pure pink grapefruit juice (preferably not from concentrate, Indian River brand if you can find it.
-twist of lime & stir/enjoy.
Just saw this thread. Amazing that it is so long. Nice to see the liquor industry is doing well, even if the high end industry is not.

Mostly, I'm wondering if Coffeey ever found his lighter.
Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA. This high octane brew (21%abv) ain't cheap or easy to find. The alcohol is well concealed. One of these and everything's a little better. If you can't find the 120's and chances are you can't go for the less potent but equally tasty 9o minute IPA.
