How much does your system retail for?

$23,000 - $24,000 I estimate. (Two channel, this does not include TV, VCR, etc.)

Please, keep the exagerations to a minumum, do not count CD's, equipment you have bought and sold, is packed away that you don't use anymore, etc..

Put the total first so it shows up at the begining of your post.

This is just for fun and curiosity of the diversity on here, don't take it to seriously. Simply evaluate what the retail value of your system is.

This hoby is not good for the pocketbook.

I just added to the system again. I am at $21,500.00
US$29,250.00 assuming some discontinued units were still available at their original retail price.

I've always sought out giant killers in their price range. The sound I have now is IMHO worth every penny of its cost. I'm also quite proud of the fact that the resale value of my current setup is not much less than what I paid for it. Thanks to the people at Audiogon and eBay. OTOH, I have not factored in a few thousand in losses on gear I bought and sold on the way.

If I thought I had spent something close to new retail on my system I would consider I had a problem addiction.

Up to a few years ago, I used to get very excited just over the thought that I might be able to buy a piece of equipment. The drool factor was very high. Now I know I am not in the big leagues at all. I still enjoy looking at and getting to know new equipment. I have more awareness of and respect for the very top end, and a better notion of what makes a bargain. Also, I now have a much better idea of what I like.
The current system at retail is $24,200. I paid 18750. I tell my wife it's my Harley, and a lot safer....
$4750 paid $3200 I'm the poorest guy here I think...how did I miss posting here...am I still allowed to stay?
Poorest guy here? look at my system guy. im not really sure the MSRP or the "PAID" amount is on my system, but i hear ya, im suprised they let me in here too! :)
