Phoenix, AZ

The Arizona Audio Video Club began life as the Arizona Audiophile Society in 1985. The name was changed a few years back to more accurately reflect the varied interests of the members. The club meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month, at various locations in the greater Phoenix area. We occasionally schedule special interest meetings, with topics such as music listening, equipment evaluations, tech workshops, etc. Members receive monthly newsletters, either as hard copies or by e-mail. Members also enjoy discounts on purchases at several of the local audio and HT specialty stores. For more information, check out our website at www.azaudioclub.com

The June club meeting will be Wednesday, June 29th at 7:00 PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9424 N 7th Ave., just north of Hatcher Road, in Phoenix. It will be a member’s music night. This is your opportunity to bring CD’s or SACD’s you like and have them played for everyone’s enjoyment.
A member will be bringing his new Vandersteen 5A’s!!! These are really great full range floor standers, so rack your minds and come up with some music to challenge the beautiful beasts! Parking is FREE and snacks will be served. Bring a guest or two!!!
See you there!
The next meeting will be hosted by Bill Coomes of Sweet Spot Home Theater! Bill will be bringing some great gear for us to audition. Randy Bankert (of Sonist) and Tony Weber, (the Western Regional Sales Representative of Cary Audio), will be featured presenters. Tony Weber will demo the Cary Audio 300 SEI Integrated Amp, and talk about audiophile gear and home theater products. Randy Bankert will be demonstrating his new model Concerto 4 floor model speakers. The Concerto 4’s are tube friendly, 97dB efficient and getting lots of attention. CRL cables and a Chang Lightspeed power conditioner will be tying the goodies together. This will be a great meeting!

The meeting is Wednesday, August 31st at 7pm and will be held at the PebbleCreek Tuscany Falls Clubhouse, 16222 Clubhouse Drive, Goodyear, AZ. Plan on arriving a little early to have time to get through the guard gate and find parking. Mention to the guard that you are going to the clubhouse for our meeting to get in.
If you are not a member of our club and plan on attending, please RSVP (by contacting me) so we have plenty of seating set up.

I moved to Northwest Phoenix in the last month and would be interested in joining. I am also in need of advice on a tech to repair a pair of VTL 250 Signature amps. Any info or assistance would be appreciated, Thank you.

Hi Dan...welcome to the valley. Send me an email and I'll have our club's membership chairman contact you.

There is an excellent audio equipment repair business in the south valley called The Audio Doctor. I have been very satisfied with the work he has done on several pieces of my gear. You can find his website by searching for audio doctor phoenix. If you remind me, I will send you his phone number via email.
