I was thinking about possible options to improve the vibration control on my new Magico S5 Mk2 speakers. I initially thought I might be able to order the new MPods made for the new M3, however they’re only offered in a set with the (superfluous) t-bar @$9600USD a set!
An alternative option some of my friends use is Stillpoints Ultra 5’s, though imho they work better fitted sloped-side up with the Ultra bases which would add quite a bit of height vs the factory spikes & might upset the tweeter level, especially with the ear position on my sofa.
In the end, I decided to use the factory spikes, though I was toying with the idea of trying some BDR Mk4 Mini pits at some point, or maybe the slightly bigger Mk3’s in lieu of the factory bases. What do you guys think?
