HIGH DEF DVD...WHATS THE LATEST NEWS?

Hello all,
I have not heard anything lately about High Definition Blue Ray and HD DVD players.
What is the latest news about them?
When are they expected to be released in the US, and at what prices?
Will they be able to play normal DVD's and perhaps SACD's and DVD-Audio discs as well?

LG is being rumoured to offer a combination/mulit-player capable of playing both Blue Ray and HD DVD this coming fall.

Unsound...I need one that does Blue Ray, HD DVD, DVDA, SACD, CD(with HDCD), LP (33, 45, 78), and cassete tapes on the side.

I am shocked at your obvious, and unfounded bias against Elcaset. Remember that format?

I might be waiting this one out a bit. I bet winners and losers will be settled by something like: which one is adopted into the most popular game system.
