Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

I suspect clarity can actually improve with a properly executed large tweeter array.  The end result of a large diameter tweeter  array is controlled dispersion which can increase direct sound and decrease reflected sound. Far less distortion as well.  It's like a really large set of headphones. I find when direct sound increases so does clarity and detail.
Perhaps the perceived increased clarity of the Brilliance has more to do with the voicing/drivers/crossover of that model.

That makes sense vitop. The Brilliance use Seas drivers I believe instead of the Emminence drivers on the DI's. Might that lead to more clarity? I don't imagine the Brilliance are a lot more clear than the DI's as I find the DI's to be exceedingly clear. The PMD line might be a whole different story though as Eric is using the best drivers, crossovers, capacitors and wire possible for his to achieve his goals. As jeffrey has alluded to, the Ulfberts take realism and dynamics to a whole new level. As much as I love my DI's I'm going to do my best to get the Ulfberhts or mini Ulfberhts.

Vitop, The Brilliance has a much smaller midrange, maybe lighter/faster than the larger pair in the DIs, that may be part of the "more clarity" from the Bs?

I wish I knew. I have not heard the brilliance. I thought the DIs were exceptionally clear so when people said the Brilliance were clearer than the DIs, that just started me thinking.

Eric has not told me what drivers he is using in the Ulfberht Minis. I believe he was toying with 4 8" bass drivers, but I do not know the quality of them (or the other drivers) and if he considers the Mini to be in the PMD line or regular line. I know Eric wanted to make a statement with the minis in the $7500 space so I am assuming he is putting in the good stuff but I honestly do not know.
