Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

porscheracer,

Yes I agree that you can't go wrong with a Sachs preamp, probably will make a great match with your pioneer amp.

I have heard one of the Sachs preamps in a another system and it sounded and also looked very well made.
Be patient,I think it will be worth the wait.

Kenny.
Thanks, @charles1dad for the preamp suggestions!!

I can't wait to get it....but I have to!!!
Thank's to all that gave detailed info about preamp gain and VC tapers and overall matching component details.

In this Aric audio amp the higher gain 6sl7 tube draws less current from the amps pwr supply and lightens it's overall load vs a 6sn7.

When you have a set amp that has low pwr every little detail helps IMO.

6SL7 tubes have more gain and higher output impedance if you need that but they are not as good sonically. They have more distortion. The 6SN7 tube is the better preamp tube....
I’d agree that the 6NS7 is preferable for preamplifier duty but in Kenny’s power amplifier the task/function is to be a "driver" tube for the 2A3 output tube. So as Aric described above the 6SL7 makes sense. Similar circumstances in my amplifier,  the builder chose the 6EM7 over a 6SN7 due to the higher current capability to drive the 300b output tube.
