Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

@david_ten  I will try this out.  I've noticed many guys going that route of using risers.  I can admit right now one thing that isn't helping my case is the speakers are spiked through the carpet to the concrete but...at least one of the speakers is still wobbly.

You guys have given me great tips on optimizing my set up.  Very much appreciated.

hifiaddict,

I enjoy on occasion those recordings that exploit that bottom octave of music.  In my room, the DI's are optimized for a big stereo image and I won't sacrifice that by moving them towards the front wall.  Given that, I have very high quality bass that seems very well integrated with the rest of the musical spectrum.  But what I don't have is "room lock" say in the 16-32Hz range that I might like.  So I suspect some day I will bring in a pair of high quality subs for such occasions.  Eric clearly made the right call in voicing this speaker.  It is beautifully integrated from top to bottom.
@hfaddict

Thick curtains on those reflective sliding doors while listening will reduce early reflections and give better imaging; taming those will open up a new level of transparency.

The LM will get better within the first 2 months and will become even quieter as those massive transformers run-in.

@Hfaddict - Thanks for the feedback on your DIs and showing us your system. Excellent pictures!! Since you have a JL Audio sub available I would at least try it - stick it in the corner where that plant is? :-)  I run a REL sub with my Impact Monitors and it doesn't take away from the magic of the Tekton tweeter array as far as I can tell.
