VPI 2nd pivot point set up question

So I ordered the VPI second pivot point and I was reading up on how to set it up.  However I do have a question when you set the pressure of the point on the little pad you are setting it to a specific record of a specific thickness and this will affect your final azmuth as I understand it.  So let’s say you set it to a thicker 180 g record and then change to a thinner record will not the pressure point on the pad now be set to a lighter (or higher?) pressure and now won’t the azimuth be off?

Another question comes to mind. I've been looking at where the 2nd point gets mounted and it seems it goes either in front of or behind the inner lateral side weight.  It would seem a better solution would be exactly where the lateral weight is located so that it is perpendicular to the tone arm so that the 2 pivots are in the same plane to allow verbal pivot to happen in the same plane. Otherwise if not perpendicular then the 2 pivots are in different planes and thus different distances to the stylus.  This would require the removal of the inner lateral weight to mount the 2nd pivot.  Is what I'm saying make sense? Or am I over thinking this?
Don't over-think this.  Mount the 2nd pivot behind the left weight of the arm....follow my directions and enjoy.
On my Prime, I removed both side/lateral weights (inside and outside) on the 3D arm and mounted the second pivot where the inside weight was. Using the rear weight and the second Pivot, along with the fozgometer, adjusted so my azimuth is right on. Don’t even need the side weights.....
