Turntable system

Hi! I got a really good price on a VPI Classic 1 turntable + Ikeda 9TT cartridge. Would it match the rest of my system?
I have a Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL phono and a pair of Dynaudio bm5 mkiii studio monitors with dedicated volume box.
And a Rega Planar 1 turntable with a Denon Dl110 cart.

The Classic 1 is a massive upgrade over the Rega. If you are getting a good deal on the VPI, start investigating how to sell your Rega.

The  Ikeda 9TT  is a low output mc cart and will need some kind of signal boost or just use your current cartridge until you get a LOMC front-end.

Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL isn`t it enough to use it with the Ikeda? I have way too much horsepower right now but I know it`s another story...

The output from the cartridge is much lower than the range recommended by Musical Fidelity

Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL Gain Switch setting MC 0.8mV  0.4mV

Ikeda 9TT Output 0.16 mV

Most would use the Ikeda with a SUT into the MM section of a phono stage.
