Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

the REL sub is super easy to set-up and integrate into any speaker system. The older models hold up very well.

hi Prof,   REL takes a totally different approach to subs than JL.   I am no  expert and am not very technically literate,  but one of my takeaways today was that REL  does not like the outboard crossovers that do what the JL does.  they want the speaker to receive the full range of signal and for the amp to send a full signal to the sub.  i agree with Jafant,  that the REL is not that hard to set up.
Prof:  boy will i be interested in your take on the Magicos.  They are so well built and i am going tomorrow to the same place and hear a demo by the Magico guy.  They sure seem very free of any coloration's based on my very short listening time.

I am looking forward in reading about your observations, thoughts, impressions,  regarding Magico loudspeakers. Take note of all gear and cabling involved with the demonstration. Have fun.

Happy Listening!

ronkent, jafant,

I've long been familiar with REL and their approach.  I've had REL subs in my home before.  But I want to try doing subs using a crossover, which have some advantages if done right to the REL system.
