Making my own power cord.

I need an unusual power cord configuration that I can’t find extant anywhere.  It looks like I’m going to have to make my own, even though I’ve never done it before.
I need to have a two pronged IEC-C17 connector at one end and a standard wall plug at the other end
Does anyone know where  I can obtain the materials for such a connection?
Also, I’m going to need instructions on how to do it.

unless you are trying to make a cord with a three prong wall connector and the ground unconnected, not sure why you’d want to do that and I’d also worry that it’s a safety risk ...

That sounds like a very common, ordinary, and easily obtained power cord to me!

You can get it at Crutchfield:

The three prong plug is used to connect the equipment ground to earth ground and, for ungrounded appliances, to make sure the correct polarity is fed to the appliance. A C-17 plug is used for non-grounded non-polarity appliances so you don't need the third prong.
