Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?

Hi,

I'd love to hear the impressions of people who've actually spent some time with these speakers to share their sense of their plusses and minuses. Mapman here on Audiogon is a big fan, and has shared lots on them, but I'm wondering who else might be familiar with them.

Bond, very good, I do find the Ohm's to be "just right". I think another aspect of them that I am always amazed with is the height of the performers. They almost always seem to be the proper height/proportion, not some rinky-dink version of an event. My Magnepans always did a wonderful job on that and something I am glad the Ohm's do as well.

I would say your Odyssey amp is more than capable for the task at hand. Good amplifier! Built right here in my hometown. Hmmm, maybe I should try one at aome point! Enjoy your music Bond! Tim
I was doing some reading here on Audiogon and stumbled on some info about the Von Schweikert VR-2, which is supposedly designed to be extra wide dispersion and also has an adjustable "ambience tweeter" in the rear of the cabinet. Since the design goals seem somewhat similar to the Ohm's, I was wondering whether any of you had heard the them and could offer a comparison.
Things do seem a bit slow, maybe everyone is just busy getting back to work and all from the holidays.

I should be getting my 3000 drivers to mount on my Walsh 3XO's next week, so I am very excited about that needless to say! Should be fun getting them broken in! Tim
Quiet on my front of late.

I've done some enhancements to capacity and availability of my music server.

I'm still eyeballing high power amps that I might try at some point. Most likely will be a newer Class D if/when I jump. My current Musical Fidelity amp might go into my second system if I do.
