Audioquest Red River vs. Big Sur interconnects

Did anyone do a comparison between these two? The Red River is PSC triple balanced, and the Big Sur is double balanced PSC+.

The Audioquest catalog indicates too that Big Sur is a step-up from the Red River, but in what way?

the dielectric that is used is different between the two .

Big Sur uses  Foamed-Polyethylene

Red River uses  Hard-Cell Foam
I have owned many of the different generations of AQ interconnects over the last few decades. The two big qualities are the conductor quality and dielectric type. Go for PSC+ over PSC. The difference is clarity and smoothness of texture. If at all possible go for interconnects with Teflon (FEP) dielectric. Openness and bass depth and pluck are optimized with this dielectric over the foam stuff.  The foam lends a slight haziness to th e sound.

MusicDirect is still closing out the previous line of Colorado interconnects at half original retail for brand new cables. A one meter pair is $450. I can speak with some authority of experience with them as my entire system is wired with the Colorados. Fantastic cables. Get ’em while they last!
