Cartridge for Symphonic music .

What is a good cartridge for SYMPHONIES  alone , the hardest thing to reproduce in music !
I have two TT's on hand , a Project with a 9cc Evolution arm and a Pioneer  PXL-1000 with a light arm that doesn't look like
much , but is actually decent .
My limit is 1200 $ .
Thanks .

I agree with everything bdp24 mentioned.  The Townshend Audio Rock would be the ultimate platform for the DL cartridges.  I have never had a chance to test this deck but hopefully someday.

@schubert

chactster, I used Pickering X-3000 for about 5 years till they shut down ,THE best I ever had ! How could you get one today ??

I have my Pickering XSV-3000 backup sample in mint condition if you need one.  I've been lucky to find Stanton CS-100 WOS which is my reference in Stanton/Pickering line.
I highly recommend the Ortofon 2M Black. It’s a spectacular cartridge and would do everything you ask for.
^ Everything is a final statement. Well, I doubt about that Ortofon, I´ve read on other forums like Steve Hoffman Music that some people have had sibilant issues with it. And I ain´t no Shibata fan boy. Because I once had an Audio-Technica 20SLa and even with a new replacement stylus SS (w/ Shibata stylus) it was somewhat sibilant no matter how it was adjusted so I had to sell it as I can´t stand sibilant David Byron not to mention Greg Lake. Very annoying. Instead I recommend a MI like Nagaoka´s best models.
Btw, are they truly Moving Iron cartridges, Schubert ? They always are advertised as MM nowadays.
