Thank You for the update. I am glad that you connected with oblgny-he is a stand-up guy to be sure.  Several of you guys love and own the 3.5 model. I know that good things will come from Tom's testing.

Greetings:  I copied Paul McGowan on some of the concerns about matching Thiel speakers with the BHK 250 amp.  here is his response: "What is it they think disqualifies the BHK? You might mention that Tom Thiel has asked for a BHK 250 for his continuing work in Jim’s designs.

But because you’re apparently into numbers, riddle me this. How many watts are needed to get 85 dB from CS2.4 at the listening position 8-9’ away?

Also, what do you imagine JA meant when he wrote: 
“Thiel CS2.4 owners should make sure they have a good 4 ohm–rated amplifier to drive this speaker.”

I wish unsound post was a little bit more sound.
