Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Greetings:  I copied Paul McGowan on some of the concerns about matching Thiel speakers with the BHK 250 amp.  here is his response: "What is it they think disqualifies the BHK? You might mention that Tom Thiel has asked for a BHK 250 for his continuing work in Jim’s designs.

Can’t decide whether to trust you or my lying ears. @ronkent probably in the same predicament.

But because you’re apparently into numbers, riddle me this. How many watts are needed to get 85 dB from CS2.4 at the listening position 8-9’ away?

Also, what do you imagine JA meant when he wrote: 
“Thiel CS2.4 owners should make sure they have a good 4 ohm–rated amplifier to drive this speaker.”

@bluetone, I had my 3.5's mids rebuilt by Thiel. I am confident you will be very pleased.

@thielrules, very, very exciting stuff! I don’t know what I can do to help, but if I can, I am very willing. FWIW, I’m currently in NJ.

Have you considered using something like the DEQX products.
