Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

I honestly believe Tekton had the Double Impact SE priced wrong to begin with.. It appeared to be too big of a jump in price from the Double Impact..
I wanted the DI’s but wasn’t very excited to buy them, I just wanted something with a little more Uniqueness to them..
Wham , came the SE’s , but just too pricey for me..!
When I called to make a purchase, Eric offered to sell me a set of SE’s at $4,500.. I was floored, and couldn’t say No..
The day after I ordered my SE’s the price drop went up on the Tekton site..
I felt guilty, and somewhat disappointed for the unfortunate ones who had purchased before me..
Tekton’s price structure is a bit abnormal, and most likely could use a total “start from scratch” revamping..
But we all know Eric is allowing us to have a taste of the Very High End HI-FI , at affordable prices..
I go to Eric for his speaker design skills, not his marketing skills..!
For a one man shop, it can’t be easy to “Everything” yourself, even with Karma’s help..

I’m still enjoying my SE’s after a year and a half now and while their price decrease affects all of us early buyers that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

The SE’s have motivated me to upgrade my system to get the most they have to offer. My latest two upgrades have been monumental in doing just that.

First was the Perfect Path the Gate.....the way this product cleans up the electrical signal brought my system to life and has the SE’s singing better than ever. Kudos to Tim at PPT!

Second was having Aric Audio build me a pair of no holds barred 300B SET monoblocks with two external, tube regulated power supplies. I’ve only had them in my system since yesterday but haven’t stopped smiling since. With C3M driver tubes, Hashimoto output and power transformers, Duelund coupling caps, silver internal wiring, WBT Nextgen binding posts and rca jacks, Yamamoto tube sockets and copper shielding within the chassis along with other goodies I can’t remember Aric went all out in creating amps that will last me a lifetime. When properly designed and implemented the 300B can produce levels of power, dynamics, purity and transparency that drive the SE’s beautifully. Kudos to Aric!

I feel blessed having the likes of Eric, Tim and Aric providing products that bring about so much musical enjoyment at prices I can afford.

What would be the minimum room size for the DIs vs the Impact monitors or Pendragons?  My room is 14x16 with 9 foot ceilings, glass French doors on one wall opens to a much larger room.  Thanks
The Tekton Design Double Impacts will work in your room. Those who have the Impact Monitors / Pendragons are in a much better position to advise with respect to those two speakers and room size...however, I believe all will work fine with your room.
@shadys My room is about the same.  The double impacts and the Encores both worked exceptionally well in my room.
