Zu Soul Superfly

I just ordered a pair of the new Zu speakers on a whim. I was going to wait for information, but the fact that they threw in the free superfly upgrades to the first 30 people got me.

From a similar thread it sounds like some of you guys have heard the speaker despite information only being released today. I'm wondering what you can share about it?

Also, I am really hoping it works with a Firstwatt F1 amplifier. Can anyone comment as to that? I know the Druid's and Essences worked OK.

Very well could be playing a part BUT I recall liking the F1 a bit more before the Semisouth R100s were installed. I'll give it some time for everything to break in as new PSU CAps were installed.

That said, Zu has officially updated the Superfly page to emphasize the recommendation of tube over solid state for the Soul.
Did anyone happen to save the list of amps with the short description that was originally listed on the Soul Superfly page as being the amps used to voice the speaker?

It seems to have been lost in the shuffle when they updated the Soul page.
I believe you mean this:

So what amps did we use in the development of Soul, amps that gave us a good idea of matchups, amps we had kickin' around:

Audion Black Night 845
Allnic A-6000 (with 16 Ohm option)
Allnic T-1500
Bryston LP2
Denon PMA2000R Mk4
Dynaco ST-70
Leben CS-300
Manley Mahi/Mahi
McIntoch MA6600
Melody I-2A3
Melody M-300B
Panasonic XR-25
Pass Labs XA30.5
Peachtree Nova
Redwine 70.2
Yamamoto A-08S

Best Value: Dynaco Stereo 70, no mods, with original Mullard tubes. Yeah, it's awesome, use the 16 Ohm tap and get ready to rock!
That is the list! Thanks. There was a more curent one where they actually made quick notes of the virtues of faults of each on the list, but that will do nicely.
I have the Presence and very little feedback has been out there on this speaker.

For those who have heard it where does it fall in the Zu line up?

I am hooked on the Zu sound and will get the Def2 when the time is right.

The RWA 70.2 sounded like crap next to the AS S30. How does crap sound? Like the RWA 70.2.
