Dear @coachpoconnor : Adding weigth at the headshell increment the tonearm effective mass and this is what you did it, good. With 9.5grs-10.00grs. of tonearm effective mass you will out of the resonance frequency range around 1 hz. I agree with Raul that you don’t have to go crazy with a perfect match for that cartridge. On the other hand I know a local guy who has one of the best sounding systems I have ever heard in my life who uses a homemade tonearm that from the looks of it must have 50 g effective mass with his turn on DL 103. So I guess it depends upon how crazy you want to get with the mathematics of the situation. |
