Who owns or has owned McIntosh Speakers?

I’ve seen countless photos of giant Mac Speakers. However, I’ve never seen many reviews or owners talk about them on various forums. Most photos I see with the speakers are by big McIntosh fans and have a complete system. I’m not certain I’ve ever seen people with non Mac amps using their speakers. Maybe I am wrong. Looking at the McIntosh web site, it looks like lots of time dedicated to their design and manufacturing. Of course, the speakers are quite pricey.
Just curious about the general consensus on McIntosh speakers. The speakers look wonderful and with top notch build quality.

I helped a friend replace the surrounds on two pair of large Mac. line arrays. The drivers were cheap stamped frames. Cabinets were well made and looked good. Not in the league of JBL for sure. He was selling them on E-pay. I thought about buying them, but after the re-foam, No.
Whenever you see speakers with over 6 drivers alarms should go off. I'm all for linear arrays but there are much better ways of doing it like ribbons.
Their top speakers are very confused about what they are. The tweeters and upper midranges are line source the lower midrange drivers are not and the woofers come in at 150 Hz so they also are point source only. The effect will be that when you move away from the speakers they will become brighter, much brighter. If they were in a store full of speakers I would shake my head in wonder and move on with bothering to listen to them. Simply put there are seriously better speakers available for less money.

if if you haven’t heard them then your comment is merely speculation.  I have heard 3 different models including the top of the line speakers and my complaint is that all the models seem a bit soft on the top end.
