Help!! Bought Rega TT in the UK and now cant use it in the U.S.

So I bought a Rega Planar 2 through Amazon U.K. because it was $175 cheaper than anywhere in the U.S. I feel stupid now because I did not think about the power supply. Can someone please guide me in the right direction as to what some of my options are to be able to use the TT here in the U.S. I dont want to make the wrong move and burn the motor in the TT.
Im not to savy when it comes to electricity so your guidance is appreciated. Thanks

It's not a voltage step down you need - you need to either:

a. regenerate 60hz to 50hz,
b. get a smaller pulley
c. get a power supply with pitch control such as one by Bernard Fuss

If it's a new Planar 2, it uses a 24VAC motor;  it would come with a 220V to 24VAC wall wart.  You will need to replace the wall wart with a 120V to 24VAC version and get the correct pulley for 60Hz operation.  The pulley will have to come from Rega, a Rega dealer or VAR like GrooveTracer.  The wall wart can be purchased from Rega, Mouser, Digikey or a number of sources on e-Bay.
Can you contact the US Rega distributor in Texas and ask them if they'd exchange yours for the one you need, or simply ask them what you should do.
