Lyle Mays has passed away

Saddened to read this.

Saw him along w/Metheny et al at the McCarter Theater in Princeton as part of their tour supporting “As Falls Witchita, So Falls Witchita Falls”.

A magical show and Lyle’s keyboards were a big part of it.  Felt like if you went in there with a cold, you woulda come out healed.

It is sad.  It was called the Pat Metheny Group but Lyle was a very large part of its sound.
