What would you do if items from Ebay had beenlost?

I ordered three vintage Nos tubes from Ebay dealer.

it is supposed to be delivered today through USPS.

I had followed three packages through USPS tracking.

About 5 PM today, I got the email that all three packages got delivered at 4.11 pm left at front door or porch of my house.

But I could not find anything around my house.

My community comprised of 25 houses seated at 2 acres each on the cul de sac.

Thus it is very unlikely that stranger pick up the packages in less than an hour.


Thus I sent a following email to my neighbors but no positive response yet.


What would you do if you were me?

I had never lost a package delivered to my house last 5 years.

Hello neighbors
I was expecting three small packages through USPS.
Then I got the email that those were delivered on my front door at 4 PM today
But I could not find them on my front doors.
Sometimes they mis deliver to my neighbors.
If you happen to see three small packages delivered to Thomas Kong on your front door or porch, then please let me know it.

Don't punish yourself for someone else's problem.  Has the Postmaster gotten back to you?  

It's up to the sender to insure his packages.  If you don't receive the package, contact paypal or your credit card company to reverse the charge.  

Using a credit card is something you have to do with online purchases.

Keep us informed about what happens.

With USPS insurance doesn't guarantee your money back if said package was delivered without signature. I learned this the hard way. Lucky for me the package had a net worth of only around $35. If they say the package was delivered and turns up nowhere to be found, they claim no responsibility. Which is horse poo in my book. I hope you find your package.

I am going through the PO to find out what happened.

It appears to be mistake from "new brand man".

in the worst case, I have to try to get my money back from Ebay seller through their insurance.

That will never happen. The Ebay seller will see that the tubes were delivered. The seller might think that you are scamming them!

Happy but silly ending.

He left boxes in front of bedroom on the first floor, not in front of the main door.

I never thought he left packages over there.

The 8 year streak of not losing package either USPS, UPS or Fedex continues.

I love my peaceful town.
