Short speaker wire and long inter connects or reverse

I am going to rearrange my room and am perplexed with what to do.

I can put my monoblocks next to my speakers but will then need long inter connects. I do not have the xlr option.

I will be using middle quality cabling. I presently use 1 meter Audio Note inter connects and 10 ft  Audioquest standard quality speaker wire.

As always thanks for the input.

I don't have a dedicated circuit that I know of. But I will see if can make it work. I have an electrician in the family so it shouldn't be that big a deal.
From what I am reading it sounds like the power is as important as the rca/speaker cables. Is that correct.
My experience is, long IC and short spkr wire. It always worked for me, either using tubes (EAR 519, Jadis I don't remember monos) or solid state (Kraft class A, BFA, MFA 1000m etc).

Of course, common sense dictates the opposite -- low level signal on the short cable. But there you have it!

I Second long IC and short speaker wire but i would make the speaker wire 5 or 6ft for sound quality.
