MOST BIZARRE PROBLEM - CALLING OUT TURNTABLE DIYERS

I decided to unox and out together my Amazon Model One today and somehow, believe it or not I managed to mis-place/ lose part of the bearing (it's not even the ceramic ball - which is easy to lose) - in fact it is the inverted housing that fits in the platter.

The platter is 50mm think and I think is common to the Amazon Model One and Scheu analogue.

I was wondering if any of you know the details of the oem manufacturer, or where i can get this - better still how much is it going to cost me.

Are you sure about Amazon? Their website lists a bunch of turntables. Also since they are still around they can at least tell you where they sourced the bearing?

They name it on their web site, "inverted steel" / ceramic bearing.
You might have to buy the whole assembley.
Usually they are not Alacarte. The parts are matched to each other.

Dear All

First of all everyone who read this and racked their brains to find this for me.

Total genius that I am did a full house search...

...then...

I FOUND THE DAMN THING NEXT TO WHERE I UNBOXED THE TURNTABLE

What a total imbecile I know :doh::doh::doh:
Disturbing, however, this should be the most serious problem in your life. Everything in perspective, don't beat yourself up too much longer, some of course.

1st of all, the part is somewhere Sherlock, find it!

2nd, they appear to be alive and well, a long list of distributors

I cannot believe they would not make/sell you a part or parts, you may need to wait.

3. time to upgrade anyway. get something else now, eventually fix this one, sell it, the other, keep both.

4. sell it as is, let the buyer solve it.

good luck and happy listening.
