Blown driver

I left my stereo on for my house keeper while I went to work, bad plan. I came home to a blown driver in my one of my B&W 803s speakers. I ordered one & one just in case. My question is do I replace all four or not. They aren't cheap. The speakers are getting a little age on them & so am I.  My amp is in excellent condition & rated at 375 WPC. I've played them very loud with no problems. Thoughts?

Blown like sounds terrible. Scrapes, rattles & pops. I'm just worried the rest are damaged.

Maybe. But if not they sure will be if you don't fire that housekeeper.

Is it possible your housekeeper tried to vacuum the drivers?? It is quite common unless you explain ahead of time.

I'd suggest you buy 2, and use the other one only when needed.

I never thought of the vacuum, she said she dusted them.  Yes ordered 2.

Well, it could be the vacuum, or dusting, don't blame the house keeper, I can't tell you how many people have walked into my home and immediately wanted to touch the drivers or push them in.  Unless you take the time to explain what seems normal to us, they won't know.
