This is THE problem  listener bias and sometimes their refusal to accept another point of view.
On a limited selection right now due to various COVID related reasons but listening to a 2016 Sony release of Pink Floyd's Final Cut and it is just beautiful.  Blows away the CD.  Not even close.  Can't get enough of it at this moment in time. This moment in time could be a different moment in time tomorrow. Have replayed multiple tracks multiple times.

One day I am going to have to try out a Decca London cart on my Garrard 401.
