“Insides” of tubes
There is thin lead wires coming out of the bottom of the glass tubes that are threaded into the hollow pins during assembly. After getting the wires in a glue is used to join the base to the glass and the pins are soldered. It sounds like someone wasn't paying attention to the alignment very carefully. Shouldn't harm the operation but if it bugs you............. BillWojo |

The thing people say...Handmade valves have been around for quite a while, The Italians, French, and Brits, have been at it for a LONG time. Where do you think the Estonians learned how to do it, Certainly not Estonia, Russia, or China. You ever listen to Russian music, makes me want to go, dig a ditch and jump in it.
