jpwarren, the only time there is not music around me is when I'm listening to the news in the car, talking on the phone, watching a movie, and when we are sleeping. I have speakers in my ski helmet and wireless ear buds on the bicycle. There are speakers all over my house inside and out. Only a small percentage is serious listening. The point is you are not alone. Also, people who listen to music live longer. It works just like meditation except it sounds better:)
In the course of audible events
In an average week I listen to roughly 70% of my music at home, 20% in the car, and 10% at work. Varying degrees of audio excellence, but that doesn't bother me. And genre is becoming less important as well. I am still committed to improving the sound but harder and harder to not have some tunes playing. Something I would have never predicted 10-30 years ago.
