Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

@slaw, I have the MCA Heavy Vinyl Buddy Holly, and the Analogue Productions version of that same album will be here tomorrow. On the front of the MCA cover the hype sticker has this quote from Fremer:

"Music erupts out of total silence from these thick, 180 gram virgin vinyl discs with a velvety smoothness, spaciousness and ultra-high resolution that stuns even the most committed CD diehard."

The back cover provides these technical details:

"Digitally transferred from original Coral monaural masters by Paul Elmore at MCA Studios, Glendale, CA."

At the time of that transfer, digital technology was still rather primitive. The Analogue Productions version is pure analogue, so a comparison of the two will be interesting.

The 45 of Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" - holographic and so emotionally pleasing!
Also, @mwinkc -- how would you rate Islam's revision of Tillerman? Worth getting?
Eric,

Look forward to reading your impressions of both. My copy arrived. I do have Buddy Holly & The Crickets Coral/Japan, sounds very good like he’s "in the room".
