Is is wise to set Power Conditioner on its front rather than on it's bottom.

I just purchased a Core Power Equi-Core 1800. Wally said he saw no problem in setting it behind my rack on the front with the outlets facing up. Obviously, I would set it on  footers. But this thing weighs 55 lbs with a big toroid transformer in it. While I know it will work, I'm concerned that this heavy transformer will come loose due to gravity and from there vibrate thus causing noise. For those with experience or more understanding of how this unit is built, what are your thoughts? Good idea or bad? Thanks

I owned the Equi Core. The transformer is bolted to the chassis, so I doubt it will ever come loose, unless it was loose to begin with.
I ended up switching to an Audioquest Niagra 1200. AQ says that it can be placed either flat, on side or sideways. So, if they feel their power conditioner can be repositioned without issue, then I would think the Equi core should be the same. Plus, Wally gave it a thumbs up.

I own an EquiCore 1800 and I've had the top off. That transformer isn't going anywhere. 
unless it was loose to begin with.

I too own the same unit.. I think it will be fine in any orientation..
I opened it up too and it’s bolted down pretty good.. Don’t see an issue using it that way..

Back in the day when these units first came out and we (myself and a few other audiophiles) did a lot of testing with the 1200 and 1800.  As the others above have stated it won't hurt a thing and will function and sound just as it's supposed to.
