Yes I have triple confirmed the channels are being swapped with test tones. The other two devices have the channels correct. The lesson here is that a media renderer can be awful. There is no setting for the TV which is obviously manipulating the audio but clearly that is happening. The channel swap is the most obvious but the sound quality is also quite poor. The HDMI from blueray player>TV>optical>KefLS50W (DAC & speakers) sounds excellent and appears to be unmanipulated. As does the direct wireless connection to the KEFs. That is how it should be and glad the TV processing stay out of the way with the blueray/HDMI connection.
This seems crazy but guess I should no be surprised that the default settings/media rendered in a TV can be highly suspect.
