OP, it's kind of funny, you asking us how many outlets YOU need. ericsch hit the nail on the head..

I use Triplite 2400 and then quiet them up. The chassis gets silicone and the transformer base is gooped up. Cuts the noise by 90%. 10-12 outlets, 250-300.00 usd..

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I use a AQ Niagara 1200. It has 7 outlets, just the right amount for my system. It is an entry level piece, but suits me fine. It replaced an older Panamax.
