St. Paul & the Broken Bones - Sea of Noise
What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report
I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.
This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

Last night, listened to Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances (Eiji Oue Minnesota Orchestra) Mind blowingly good, I was mesmerized for the whole 67mins Keith Johnson’s Reference Recording RR96CD, simply stunning!! http://www.soundstagenetwork.com/music/reviews/rev371.htm Cheers George |
Last night I listened to Tears For Fears - "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" My son 1st turned me on to it. I was never a big fan of the group (duo) but this is very good for a last album from a duo who had been on a 10+ year hiatus. I guess for their devoted fans, the album lives up to its title. On Vinyl, listened to : An often overlooked talent. Molly Hatchet - 1st ST |
Just finished tonight, Tears for Fears "Seeds of Love" 1989 original release, excellence personified, this album every track!!! is stunning, it reminds me of The Beatles in a way, but with a modern twist. This 1989 one is the best, just look at the dynamic range http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/181056 And compare it to the 2015 much more compressed, re-release. http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/100465 And then the even worse 2020 compressed streamed/download one with bonus tracks. http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/179948 Cheers George |
