got it... i actually forgot that caymans since the original 987 never had sunroofs... guess they figure you want a mid engine car driven in open air the boxsters are right there
that little section of roof panel is too short to build in a sunroof cassette anyways... they of course want to keep the cg low and want to maximize the already limited headroom
thank goodness the germans don’t do what the japanese did with their sports cars, which is build it around an average size 5-9 height driver!
