Request for a recommendation on a small footprint floor standing speaker

I would check out Spendor A2. I’ve demo’d both A2 and Maggie LRS and A2 destroys it IMO, albeit at considerably higher cost. Used would fit into your budget though, and maybe you find a deal for new at $2k even. Much easier to drive also. Maggie LRS are difficult to drive - you can’t just throw any amp at them and expect it to work - see thread on PS Audio site where PS Audio Flagship Series BHK250 unable to adequately drive Maggie LRS. |
