It really all depends on location.
FWIW, I have found the Magnum Dynalab SR100 to work very well in various locations:
FM Antennas - dipole vertical fm antenna and silver ribbon antenna (magnumdynalab.com)
IME, even better than their more expensive ST-2. A tweak hack for the SR100 is to shorten the built in twin lead cable and attach a balun transformer as close as possible to the antenna segments and then connect a quad insulated RG-6 co-axial cable from balun transformer to the tuner. The antenna segments have sharp edges; so it might not be best around children
For much less money, I have also had some success with a Radio Shack Cat. No. 15-1874 TV telescopic rabbit ears antenna. This comes with an approximately 4' long non-detachable RG-59 co-axial cable.
