You got me interested so I did a bit more reading and research on the album.  I found that the 2013 issue and the 2021 issue are both considered "imports".  Both are marketed by Rhino but the 2021 issue is blue vinyl. It is possible that the blue vinyl is a lesser quality grade and thus the complaints about noise.  I'm just conjecturing, though.  I found all this information on the Shuga Records website.  Based on the SKU number I see that my copy is indeed the 2013 issue.  Either way, I found it to be really good SQ (understanding that 80s recording style does have an emphasis on the top end) and the vinyl quality is flat and very quiet.  Nothing overly "hot" sounding and no vinyl noise at all.  Of course, I put it through the Degritter before playing.  But if an album has noise by virtue of the pressing or grade of vinyl, ultra sonic cleaning can not repair those flaws.  This 2013 issue is certainly a well done album and the latest pressing is very good quality, at least on my copy (early pressing of the stamper?).  What I find interesting is that the information on the Elusive Disc website indicates the pressing is done at RTI (which is typically excellent) but the sticker on the back of my album states "Made In Germany" and thus is an import.  Does RTI have a pressing plant in Germany?  I copied and posted the description from the Elusive Disc website, below.  The SKU number for this one is the same that is on my record jacket.  Bottom line, this one sounds great!
I hope this helps and does not create any confusion.

High Quality 180g Vinyl! Pressed at RTI!
Laquers Cut From Original Analog 2-Tracks By Chris Bellman At Bernie Grundman!
Polly Jean Harvey - Dry (Original Pressing - too pure)

Outstanding. The distortion is remarkably undistorted!
I agree about the distortion be remarkably undistorted.  I don't have the album 'Dry' but I have 'To Bring You My Love'.  The recorded distortion sounds great.  Hmmm, shall we say clean distortion?

@grey9hound  Audiogon removed my post that was to you.  I have no idea what I said that would make them remove it.  I never use foul language on this forum and I was not insulting to anyone.  They filter links and phone numbers and email addresses.  I had included the link to the album on the Acoustic Sounds website.  But that situation usually shows that it was filtered, not to completely remove the post.  You can see up above, it's the post removed on July 15.  Well, whatever...I was just advising about the SQ on the record in question and where it is available for sale.  If the moderators really want to remove posts they should examine more of the mean stuff that is stated by others, on other threads.  This thread is a very pleasant one with everyone being completely civil.
