Horns. Some smaller classic ones would be the Klipsch Heresys, and there are a few new designers making smaller floorstanding horns. At an audio show last year, I saw no fewer than five different horn exhibitors, out of only about 20 total.
Forward soundstage speakers?
Any suggestions on a small floorstanding speaker that project the soundstage into the room vs. behind the speakers? I want something that puts images closer to the ears and would be good for low volume listening. I've tried many speakers and for some odd reason, no matter how much I spend, I can't reproduce the qualities of an old pair of polk ls50's.
