The Ebay link was for the same stands @ Rockville. Don't see anything off with the appearance (I have extremely impecable taste), but THEY ARE CHEAP STANDS - which is what you seemed to ask for in your OP. As far as painting black stands white it's a simple process which requires a bit of elbow grease and time (time to allow the primer and finishing coats to cure and "grease" involving proper prep, at various stages, of the surface).
