2 channel Sunfire amps.

Does anyone have any info on the best Sunfire stereo amp. I've seen that there is a Signature 600 and a Mark 2 version. What are the differences between these models and how does the sound quality and prices compare. I have been looking at McIntosh amps to pair with my Sunfire vacuum tube preamp but some Audiogoners have commented that the Mac amp would totally outclass the Sunfire. Also what would be a good speaker for the Sunfire combo? Any info would be greatly appreciated. -Don

I’m running the same exact setup only I’ve also got a legacy Goliath subwoofer( 2/15& 2000watts) and I can’t ever get home fast enough. You just gotta hear Gerald Albrights version of Georgia, live at bird land west on this system it will just bring goose bumps if not tears it is just flat moving so I agree totally with jimjoyce25. Outclass? No such word.

if you like the sound, go with it!

I've been told my amps are too good for speakers? Really? They sound great, so if you like it, enjoy.

The Sunfire series II is the better amp, they cost a premium, look for the 300 or 600 Sunfire. Great amps.send to Flannerys for upgrade, cleaning capacitor replacement.

there are no more of those big blue ones, he said all out.

check for a similar pair of concerned.

Sunfire series II is the one to get.

I have a 600 sig, never clips, never runs it of power, crescendos are flawless, headroom is a plenty.  Looks great, runs cool, and will power everything except those MBL Radiostrahler behemoths.
