Mcintosh amp stock pwr cord only 4 ft???

This is absurd. Why do they do this?

so now i need new longer power cords. Any idea without spending hundreds on new 8 or 10 ft cords.

If you are going to enter the world of trying various cords, like I've done, try to buy 5ft as those seem to be the most desireable lengths. If you really need 10-12 ft I'd recommend getting some outlets added.
