What'd You Get For Xmas?

Jewish, so I got my Hanukah gift weeks ago: A NOS quad of 1960s Raytheon 5842/417A windmill getter tubes for my phono preamp! Heaven! Unbelievable improvement in the sound stage from the WE 417A I had in there. Tube upgrades always make me happy!

Audio by Van Alstine (AVA) Vision Set 400 Amplifier. Purchased from a lovely fellow right here on Audiogon! Just arrived today.

I was hoping to get my Pathos heritage that I ordered 3+ months ago and the 2 Solid-Tec  Reference Rack of Silence  but nothing but silence from Upscale Audio.

I contacted Solid-Tec buy they washed their hands. Buying in the USA is a nightmare, it is like nobody cares.

My partner got a Techdas AF one premium with the titanium platter, that was set up On the 23rd with a Etsuro Gold.

It was an awesome Christmas, there were just a few presents for her but nothing major, after everyone left I asked her to listen some music with me and she got so happy when she saw the TT.
it is an incredible turntable

I received a pair of slippers, some sweatpants, and a self-help book.

I gave out a USB DAC, a pair of IEMs, and a pair of wireless headphones.

@astolfor Sorry for any delays on the Heritage Astolfo.  I think you know we care, but you have a request that we are filling and everything is slow.  We've been right on it.

Solidtech is another matter.  I was going to buy one myself but the company is not going to do well here the way they structure making purchases by end-users.  It's way to difficult to sell.  The net result is the importer gave up on it.  I suspect you told Kat exactly what you want?  If so I can try to contact them at the factory.

I took on Pathos as the importer because I love it the product is so amazing in every way shape and form, but they are truly artisan-made and slow.  Other importers would not invest in inventory and also were not technical enough to explain just why their product is so unique.

But I want you to know we do care.  I'm never on any forums...ever.  But happened to see this.  Have  great new year.  Kevin Deal
