About users with hidden agendas

If you know that a user is a dealer and they fail to disclose and attacks other users because they make a point against their interest, do you expose the user?

I know of a gentleman here that continuously posts and goes after people and does not disclose who he is.

What are the ethics of this forum?

It is useless to debate with anyone unable to be logical and with an agenda..

I myself always present arguments...

Argument are a string of thesis attached in an order...

being conscious of our own premises is very important to pounder the value of a conclusion...

Reading a book and understanding it call for that elementary knowledge of logic and some consciousness about our own internal state of mind at the time of the reading....

Many are unable and anyway unwilling to be logical ...And conscious of what they are doing anyway...They do it without being conscious at all...They are mind conditioned...

Add to this necessary logical tool in any debate the complex information we must understand to speak about anything in a wise way...Do you think many people are able to do that?

For example...

In audio experience the ONLY important CONCRETE experimental discovery i ever make is acoustic science...

Believe me or not there is almost no thread about acoustic in audiogon...

Some ask how do we manage our room yes... But it is relatively rare specific questions compared to the vast other unimportant one and a question asking for very complex matter...

But no one created here an acoustic theoretical and practical information thread save me few days ago... Not much interest manifested..

Think about that...

Acoustic is the most important fact for audiophile experience, not the name of your Dac, turn table amplifier or speaker designer..

Between the acoustical settings of the recording room of a musical show and your ears it is not your specific audio system the most important factor but the specific state of your speakers/room relation to your specific ears...

The 2 most inportant factors are acoustical : the recording room and your own room...

Then what are small room acoustic power and means?

If you think you know think again...

And look at my thread...

@bjesien I would not want or expect anything from him.

In this thread, which I started to find out how to handle the situation privately with the forum administrators because I did not know the forum's protocol, he was called by name by many others sharing their experience with him, he continued to degrade others like @mahgister for example.

All I did, after he was named by others, was to explain my situation, because like you, asked to explain what happened. The sad thing is that multiple threads, like the one I respectfully commented, are no gone so you can't corroborate.

I know I have never degraded him, or anyone, because achieves nothing but to highlight unkindness. All I did is to point out what he was saying is not true by summarizing the specs, which I have contributed to, and shared the links to the governing bodies, like IEEE and Ethernet, documentation for everyone interested in understanding and maybe learning.

Frankly, it is sad that all this energy spent in this thread was not used to share knowledge on more pleasant things; but at the same time, for myself it is important to share not just good experiences, but bad ones so others don't have navigate through them.

This is particularly important, because in this forum there is no way to ignore some users that are just rude and degrade others for no good reason other than having to do so to defend false statements supporting the products you sell and continue to lead threads in the wrong direction.

And there we have it, the hidden agenda, not so hidden now, is out in the open. Me, the lead designer of Synergistic Research, started a series of threads speaking under my own name and title asking, what is audio really all about? Is it about the numbers? Is it about graphs? Or is it about enjoying our stereos? This made certain people uncomfortable, angry even. They begin acting out, some were even rude to me and others so I called them on their BS and they started this retaliatory thread and dog piled in. Their behavior patterns are always repeated, and are clear to see in this thread and others.

Bottom line guys, ultimately Audio is Subjective.

Yours in music,

Ted Denney III

Lead Designer/CEO Synergistic Research Inc.

Interesting. I didn't catch these patterns or behaviors in those threads because I didn't read through them. They're the type of threads where people just get on a rant and someone disagrees, etc. The only threads I have less time for are the ones where the new owner of a product is so thrilled with X, that they tell everyone else they need to buy it and argue with everyone that doesn't agree with them.

I have seen some posts where TD insults people and later says they insulted him, etc. The whole accumulation of this stuff is the rickety bridge I usually try to avoid on the path towards audio ecstasy.
