Neil Young calls out Tidal

I don’t give a rat’s ass about Neil Young or CSN or if Cher jumps on the bandwagon. But MQA isn’t part of the equation to me in the first place. I subscribe to TIDAL’s fairly new Hi-Fi tier that tops out at CD quality without MQA which is fine by me and my ears and saves me $12 a month over getting "High Res" files.

Tidal used MQA as a marketing tool to lure in unsuspecting "audiophiles" and it worked! I stand by Bob Carver’s white paper assessment of the current incarnation of MQA as being little more than snake oil, not audible to humans at all. And any "changes" it makes to the music are CHANGES, not any added detail that is present in the original file.

Anyway, I have all the Neil Young and CSN I care about on vinyl or CD, so their absence as "Masters" from Tidal isn’t important to me. They are all still there in CD quality. Good enough. There’s too much new (and old) music to discover better than listening to the same old songs a hundred times.

I am sorry for your loss. The older we get the more of those we have to live through. The live through part is key however. We can't extinguish freedom out of fear. If force can be used for this crisis which crisis will arise next that we have to endure the intended or unintended consequences for? Government motto should be Never let a crisis go to waste.

I just catch covid TODAY from my triple vaccinated wife and from my double vaccinated son...I am not vaccinated myself...I choose not for various reasons..

I said that vaccinations must be for at risk old people with co morbidities and those who wanted it...

The truckers in Canada are almost all vaccinated save 20% of them max...

They manifested AGAINST forced madated confinement in ALL cases, closing of the economy, and forced vaccinations at work...

FREEDOM is the first health priority for most of us especially the young people... The state of the immune system in young people is CORRELATED with freedom......

My dear friend i hope you will not count me amongst the "nuts" who are against all vaccinations in any form and for all... I am not....

But MASS vaccinations whitout a risk computation to target the right population, like in the flu virus case, is INSANE POLITIC medically and democratically...

This hysteria has killed same amount of people worldwide than the virus itself...

Official Canadian Government data shows that the Covid-19 vaccines are now proving to have a negative effectiveness in fully vaccinated people aged 12 and over of minus 425%, after the fully vaccinated accounted for 89% of all Covid-19 cases in Canada over the past month.
